Eco-Armour . . . Products You Never Knew You Needed

During the Annapolis Sailboat show, I came across a product that I didn’t know I needed.  Eco-Armour makes a line of botanical products using natural and organic ingredients.  The one that caught my eye was the mosquito repelling body spray & moisturizer.  Eco-Armour founder Robert Benzinger was sharing a sample of the product and also letting visitors know that it repels black flies, as well as, mosquitos. 

I’ve spent many hot summer days racing or cruising when black flies were attacking.  That really irritates me.  So, if there’s a product that will help me combat them, I’m all about trying it.  The scent was also appealing – it makes me think of light lemony citrus (read as: it does NOT smell like bug spray). 

There was a boat show special where you got a small bottle of shave foam and body wash at half price if you bought the mosquito repellent.  So, I decided to purchase both of them and try them out.  Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you think), I haven’t been on any fly or mosquito ridden trips since I bought that spray.  So, I can’t yet tell you how it works.  I will, however; tell you that it seems like it has nice moisturizing properties and doesn’t feel greasy. 

I originally chose the Pomango shaving foam and body wash.  However, after talking to Mr. Benzinger a bit more, he gave me the Eucamint shaving foam and body wash to try too.  The scent of the Pomango is light and tropical where the Eucamint is (obviously) more minty and energizing.  When I tried the product, I realized that Mr. Benzinger actually has a patent on a shaving method.  If you coat your razor blade with the shave gel and then use the gel to shave; you will get a patented smooth shave.  I tried this method and my first shave was pretty smooth; but I believe that my next shaves were even smoother.  Probably due to the shave gel coating the razor. 

The shaves that I’ve gotten have definitely felt clean and smooth.  I believe that you will like this product if you like a natural smooth non-greasy shave.  If you are a person who likes the oily extreme moisturizing shave gels that are on the market; then this product may not be for you.  I, on the other hand, don’t get into that oily overly moisturized feeling.  So, I’m a new fan of these products and will definitely go back to purchase more.
